BETWEEN THE COVERS
About the book
Rita, Camilo and Vilela are connected by relationships that become increasingly dangerous. A fortune-teller offers reassurance as uncertainty and suspicion gather around them.
Machado de Assis’s short story turns questions of belief, desire and betrayal into a tightly controlled narrative. This edition is in Portuguese, presented here with an English introduction and navigation.
