All the Phenomena of Nature
What is now is rain;
The will of the water.
What exists is this lack of writing,
And this ill-written writing, which for now,
I'm trying to cheat, saying it's poetry.
There is in the air the success of impossible dreams
And secret desires; there is
All the useful task that I will not hesitate
In leaving to do another day
That maybe tomorrow...
What exists now is the night,
♪ Hanging over all the things that are ♪
Inanimate;
And what is left for the rain to wash,
There is nothing so pure that this mercy does not deserve.
What is now ephemeral;
Like lightning that comes by surprise:
As much as we admire them, as much as they enchant us,
We won't see your light again.
Nothing new; old things are enough
We don't even know and we're tired;
Just this continuous discovery of new shades
For colors so old and erased.
There is nothing but what ever existed;
Nothing but what has always been before our eyes
And we could not see;
And something new is unnecessary,
When so much is still implied.
There's a breeze that runs everywhere
Without being seen; there are leaves that fall from the great olive trees
To be devoured by insects
Or to dry and perish in the immune of their souls.
Nevertheless, there is a free life;
A past that does not compromise
Nor glorifies
And there's still a glory embedded in every drop.
There is what rain does not dissolve; there is success
Drying in clay the grief of its footprints
So you can walk between the tiny
Which, by the rain, had them erased.
