BETWEEN COFFEE AND POEMAS
A shirt. Open. She barely hides her breasts.
A pair of panties. Rent. Gently fair.
You walk like you slide or float,
Scrubbing the inside of the thighs, foot before foot...
Look at me. A warm kiss
To warm the cold morning that awakens.
There's not even a word: "Good morning" is a smile,
Which, without saying, already says everything, in melody.
Lie next to me. With your foot
Snug my foot on the duvet:
Loves as intimate as all others
That we switch overnight.
"Now, get me some coffee. Strong."
Such is your request, an order, a caress.
Coffee. Strong. Hot. "Sugar or sweetener?"
"Neither. Only your kiss sweetens me."
A slow sip, letting me admire
The curve of your neck, where, a few hours ago,
I left bite marks and scratches,
Which will be renewed in a few minutes.
Lay low. Turn your butt over to me,
And in the meantime, stretch your fingers in search
A pen and a paper. Inspiration.
The coffee, hot. Your body, even more so.
On your stomach, scribble skillfully. On the bend of your back,
The blade bathed by the sun, which upon his skin,
Slides around your hip contour:
All this is the real show.
A laced panties and a shirt that's mine.
A little perfume from yesterday in the middle of my sweat.
It's all that covers this body, of which
I haven't been able to disconnect yet.
I go around with my fingers the curves the lace makes.
"Stop," you say, "If I can't finish,"
It's a poem, I know. But after yesterday,
Our poems are not written, they are lived.
Your coffee's over. Mine? He wasn't even touched.
You turn around and smile. Cross your legs.
Read the poem with your lips open,
as if every word was a physical touch.
"You turned me into a poem," you say,
Embracing the paper as if I feared the poem might escape.
"It was you who made me want to be a muse,
But it is in us that I become a goddess."
"It was your night. The morning? It's mine.
You brought me coffee, but I prefer salt.
That it was on my skin when you were mine."
In my hands, the last button ripped off my shirt.
Wrap my neck, pull my legs,
Put your forehead on mine, and invade me with your eyes.
The coffee forgot to cool, but other things boil,
What about the poem? This is real life again.
"We are not poets," I whisper, between one kiss and another,
"We are the verse itself."
And so, between cold coffees and hot bodies,
We wrote - without words - the perfect epilogue.
Panty lace touches the floor.
Coffee's over. The poems too.
All that remains is the purest truth:
Us.
