Read me like a Poem
It's not that the autistic saw you and didn't want to talk to you;
It's just that he had his eyes somewhere in Narnia, which, in this parallel universe, shared the same coordinates with the space where you were.
It's not that he didn't pay attention to what you were talking about, because he wasn't interested;
It's just that he was hearing all the voices that speak louder than you (including that one, on the other side of the train car).
It's not like he's looking at your boobs;
He's looking at the different glow that his pendant makes on the light.
It's not like he's looking at your ass.
What he's dipped in is the dent in the back pocket button, the one with a slightly oblong hole in the middle.
No, he's not staring at you because he wants to seduce you;
He's only noticing a symmetry between two tiny spots or pores of his face, which form patterns that can even be read.
He doesn't want to deny you or put you in awkward situations;
He just can't understand what you're saying, and then he tries to explore to see if he understands you.
That's the autistic.
But remember, sometimes he's interested.
Sometimes he looks at your breasts or your butt, thinking how someone can have such a perfect body.
Sometimes he looks at his face scrutinizing the beauty that is in his eyes, in his mouth, in the communion between them.
And sometimes he becomes inconvenient just because he wants to get to know the person who attracts him so much.
He can't always handle what he sees or how he feels. He almost never knows...
Take it easy. Forgive me. Read it.
We're lovely, passionate people if you give us the chance.
