For the following poem, I suggest the following: Somewhere in that post, I inserted the video of a song called "Cantabile" by a jazz pianist named Michel Peteucciani. Put it on, and after you start, read the poem... That's how I did it, and I realized that without the connection to the music, the poem changes the mood a little...
The video is from 1998, one of his latest performances.

Brumes moving on the surface,
Dancing union of the three worlds of Escher,
Floating in the salt there's too much in the Dead.
The salt.
Steps that float over the clear sand,
Elephants moving at the tips of their fingers,
Shake your ears at the south winds.
The south.
Shadows that lean on the treetops,
Trees in the wind, swinging, fleeting.
Leaves that glide and dry under the sun.
The sun.
Colors that mix dancing in the clouds.
Eyes resting on the cool shadow.
Wings open in heat.
The heat.
Clouds that sink into the sky blue,
Horizon of events from which there is no return.
Souls of two lovers walking across the sky.
Heaven.

Michael Peteucciani was a jazz pianist, one of the most notable of his generation. He was born with a deformity called "glass bone syndrome", which causes bone fragility and prevents growth. He even broke his fingers by playing the piano. Despite this, he always surpassed the pain, and, using a piano adapted to its size, he gave us wonderful interpretations as "Cantabile".
On the last day 06, we remembered 26 years of his death; he died at age 38 due to complications of the syndrome.
