It is a mature book that treats the concerns of youth, dreams and consequences of the actions of the protagonists in order to make us think about what we really want from life and how we can deal with them. I liked reading too much, even though the protagonist annoys me sometimes, but it's part of it. Super recommend

Super recomendo #resenhas #Metamorfose 📖 [Ver livro](https://literunico.com.br/aurora/1472)

When the heart calls - End

— What's going on, Rafael?
— I'll explain later, but I need to find her.
The maid taught the course and the singer went off with his heart in his hand. If Clara's been in the hospital for so long, she might never wake up. Her heart longed to see her again before it was too late. As he passed the reception, he went to room 205, opened the door slowly and met his uncle with a low head, leaning over the bed in a silent prayer.
— What are you doing here, boy?
— I saw her at dawn when I couldn't sleep. I had to see her.
— She's been in a coma for almost a year after a bike crash. But I know she's still gonna wake up. I'm still hopeful. — Angelino wiped his eyes on a handkerchief, Rafael’s heart got a little smaller.
— Why don't you go get some coffee, Uncle? I'll stay here with her. - The man sat for the offer and left the boy alone with his daughter.
Rafael took the uncle's place by the bed, took one of his cousin's hands in his and sighed thoughtfully at that situation. Such a beautiful young woman with her life ahead of her, trapped in a hospital bed because of a stupid fall. He closed his eyes and without realizing it, began to recite the lyrics of the music that consumed him since he had talked to the girl the night before. He felt his eyes seared as he opened them, letting all emotion overflow in a soft and emotional harmony.
When you finished, you approached her face, planting a delicate kiss on her forehead. He threatened to let go of the girl's hand, but his fine fingers shyly held his.
— That came from the soul. Clara babbled quietly, opening her eyes slowly.
A radiant smile took over Rafael's face that hardly believed what was happening.
— Hey! How are you feeling? - He asked, caressing her cheek carefully.
- Live again.
— I think this is gonna be my new sound, new style.
— Well, I'd love to hear all the tunes after I get out of here.
— I'll love to show you all. — Rafael kissed the back of her hand with affection, then held her firmly between his eyes.
He had found not only himself, but a new hope to start over and would not waste for anything in this life.

When the heart calls - Part II

— You look beautiful! Clara turned slowly to face him with curiosity. The singer frowned briefly with the possibility of being cheeky, but when the girl smiled tenderly, she felt that the brightness of the moon now spread throughout her interior, and not only through the room.
— I know who you are. I hear it on the radio sometimes.
— Do you like music? - Rafael came a little closer, Clara lowered her sights, did not like to face people.
— I love music. I love how they can touch people, even when they're away.
— And do you like my music? — The girl smiled openly, but the young man could not tell if it was a debauchery or compliment, but felt a slight void in the chest when the cousin denied with her head.
— No? — Frustration followed her tone while Clara denied it one more time — would it be very stupid of me to ask why? — The musician narrowed his eyebrows in expectation of a plausible response, Clara seemed to count the stars in the air, looking fascinated to the illuminated sky.
— The letters... they have no soul.
Rafael released the air trapped in his lungs, surprised by the honest and objective response. He blinked a few times, trying to assimilate the weight of her words, knew they weren't untruths.
— What do you think they should be like? Clara turned her attention to Rafael and took two steps, getting very close to him. His eyes met and the singer was hypnotized by the bright green eyes. Clara stretched her palm over his chest at heart level. He sighed hard.
— They have to come from here... from the bottom. Then you'll touch people.
Rafael could not explain, but the girl's presence aroused long lost sensations and as if she were involved in a magnetic field, wanted to be closer and closer to her. I needed to find out more. In an impulse, he put his hand over hers for a second, an electricity cutting off his entire body. They were in a silent conversation with their eyes and when the boy mentioned leaning towards the thin, pink lips, his warning beep whistled, calling him to reality.
- Mariana!
Rafael entered the room he shared with his sister in a crash, his heart pressed to see the difficulty she had to breathe.
— Easy! I'm here, Mari! It'll pass. — spoke, manipulating the spare air cylinder for the sister's safe exchange. He sighed relieved when he accompanied her breathing back to normal gradually.
After a few minutes, Mariana went back to sleep and Rafael returned to the room, hoping to resume the conversation with Clara, but only found the atmosphere empty.
You woke up earlier than you used to and didn't even bother to have coffee. Armed with his guitar, he went outside to clear his mind. He needed a quiet place where he could put out the words that kept bubbling in his mind after dreaming of the mysterious young woman from the night before.
He began the first notes and involuntarily felt a relief dominating his whole heart. He had written the letter as soon as he woke up before the first rays of sunshine. As the melody grew, Rafael felt different from when he recorded the songs imposed by the label. I knew I'd definitely shoot you in the dark, but something inside your heart said that song would be the reborn of your career. I was grateful to have found Clara, because without her help, perhaps she would remain in the same looping of mediocre songs, but she was very successful with the audience. He felt like a real artist now.
He's back invigorated. Marina drank coffee and smiled as she visualized her brother's bright face.
— Did you see a green bird? Where did you go so early?
— I finished the song, - He spoke exultant, in an atypical happiness of years - It's going to be a burst, sis - he said, kissing the top of his sister's head — Where's Uncle?
— He left a few minutes ago, he had to go somewhere, but I don't know where.
— And Clara? - She questioned biting a toast.
— Who?
- Clara, our cousin. Have you come for coffee? I need to thank her for being an inspiration. — Rafael joined his eyebrows when the maid exchanged a confused look with Marina. - What?
— The boy will excuse you, but Miss Clara has been in the hospital for a year. It's her birthday today.
Rafael felt his chest sink a ton, the club left the musician bewildered for a few seconds. How could the young woman be hospitalized when they talked last night? Did your own uncle confirm she didn't leave the room? I didn't understand anything, but I didn't want to look crazy in front of the whole situation.
— If she's in the hospital, why did my uncle say yesterday that she barely leaves the room and that even meals she does in there?
— Your uncle was always sure that his daughter's spirit remained here. He says he sees her sometimes. He hasn't lost hope for her to wake up at any time.
— I need to see her. Which hospital?

Go on...

Ele suspirou forte. — Elas têm que vir daqui...bem lá do fundo. Aí vai tocar as pessoas. — E a Clara? — Questionou mordendo uma torrada. — Quem? — Clara, nossa prima. Continua...

When the heart calls - Part 1

He rubbed his eyes for the tenth time since they entered the dusty road where nothing was seen, apart from the green pasture and a sun that seemed never to set. Rafael Brum looked at the clock releasing a weak muxox when he realized how many hours he was traveling. He softened the expression of impatience by accompanying his younger sister, who slept comfortably in the car. She was the only one who ever stood by you and knew you'd give your life for her if you had to. I'd switch places with Marina in the blink of an eye and be happy to be stuck in an air cylinder if it meant a life with less limitations for her. So he remembered that keeping his career was the best way to keep giving better conditions to his sister. So he agreed to exile himself to a small town to suppress the latest headlines of a scandal involving his name. And that's how it ended up in the house of a third-degree uncle of his mother, who he hadn't seen since he was five years old. But he always heard from his mother that if he ever needed anything, he could count on his uncle Angelino, after all, “family, it’s always family”.
The car stopped at the entrance of the huge place and within seconds, found the uncle with open arms waiting for him on the porch of the house. She helped Marina get out of the vehicle and both were welcomed in a loving embrace by the man of short stature, thin hair and a small abdominal bulge, which was over sixty years old.
— I hope the air of the city will help you, young man. You might not want to think about going back to the big city. — Angelino slapped the shoulder of her distant nephew with a slight disdain. - Let's go in! I'll get Joelma to prepare something for you to eat. You must be starving. - The man spoke, crossing the huge room into the kitchen.
Raphael followed the steps of his uncle and as he looked at the long corridor leading to the rooms, he saw the fragrant girl with long curly hair standing to spy. He threatened two steps towards her, but the girl got scared and ran to one of the rooms knocking the door hard. The musician looked confused at the sister who was alien to the incident, looking at the amount of family photos on the huge shelf, the same second that the uncle returned to the room. He couldn't stop his curiosity.
- Uncle! Who's the girl in the room down the hall?
— It's your cousin, Clara. — Rafael accompanied the desolate man scratching the few threads. - She lives in that room, even meals there. Strange that she went out to find out. You must have been curious about the movement in the house. Come on! I'll accommodate you and you can rest after you eat something. Angelino argued, leading his brothers to the rooms.
Rafael rolled back and forth in bed, but he couldn't nail his eyes. Somehow strange the image of the cousin did not leave his mind, leaving him restless. He watched the sister who slept quietly and stood on her toes not to wake the girl, following her to the kitchen. He drank a generous drink of water when he was surprised by Clara's figure leaning over the window of the room, contemplating the moon, which illuminated much of the environment. The boy seemed bewitched by the unusual combination.

Go on.

— Vamos entrando! — Tio! Quem é a menina no quarto, no final do corredor? Continua....

♪ Tear and Smile ♪

The tear came from my eyes, an anguish I felt. The torment consumes me, I spend sleepless nights. His voice is like the wind, present somewhere. Neither my lips nor my eyes can speak. You left so far, another world to conquer. You lied one day when you said you'd stay with me.

Our love broke, like the sun that melts the ice. My heart was bleeding, alone I feel despair. Of not having you around, of having loved you one day. I realize how foolish I was, I let myself believe in the past.
The most beautiful dream, said in a song. It became a nightmare in the cold night, leaving me in solitude.

But time went by, the tear gave way to the smile. So sparkling and so beautiful, I think in happiness I believe.
The roses I got made me cry yesterday. Of joy and sorrow, which only sublime love can speak.

My smile is more alive now, it has more emotion. I think of a future with such fervour, I no longer remember impure love.
Happiness has once again walked beside me, I feel loved, even though I have no one to love. My life has taken on a new meaning, happiness has reigned again.

O tormento me consome, passo as noites sem dormir. Percebo o quanto fui tola, me deixei acreditar no passado. As rosas que recebi, ontem me fizeram chorar.

Little text I wrote in 2000, when I didn't even think about publishing yet kkkk

Prison

Some people run away from her, others love losing their key.
But often what really bothers you is the fact that you're stuck with something you've never lived with:
The prison of idle love, which came and departed, swift as the wind on a Sunday morning;
The prison of sincere love, which the more we live, the more you risk hurting your chest;
The arrest of money that takes many by foot.
No matter how hard you try, you can't break into the chain lock that's stuck to us.
The more you push, the more the current squeezes like it's in a dead end.
Still, it is possible to find a light at the end of the tunnel that seems unattainable: Just believe it.
To believe that although money is necessary for our survival, it is not the ALL that completes us.
When we believe that this is possible, our hopes are renewed and we can again have faith in people, have faith that we can be better, that we can leave our contribution to a better world.
It's utopian, I know... but what's life worth if we can't dream of better days for ourselves and others?
