Pendant
I was so, so small
There was a vase in the garden
White porcelain and anil
I thought it was stone.
I hugged it so it wouldn't go away
How I loved...
I went to show him my room.
I've broken into a thousand pieces
What I saw wasn't pieces
They were pieces of me.
Mom, I'm so glad you're here.
Weren't you gonna give him a present?
My most beautiful vase you've broken
You'll be absent from me
It's punishment, it's said, it's done!
Those were just words.
Inside, my mother shattered
He took one of the pieces off the floor.
Strange and deformed heart
Joined a little string left
He hung a pendant on me.
A painting not to be forgotten
Reliquary stuck in the chest
