I just finished reading and reviewing the first two books of the @livro.encruzilhada. Crossroads Series I discovered "Sculpted", third book, and I ran to read (in fact I walked — on the treadmill). I couldn't wait to find the charismatic protagonists Mayara, Raul and Lucila again.
Again, Santa Maria is the stage and character of the story, which begins at UFSM Campus. The killer, this time, remembers films and very popular horror series, but the folklore fund follows present in a unique way. The order of the factors is also reversed here: instead of a search to find out who the culprit is, from the beginning we witnessed the crime and we know the authorship, without, however, being able to identify the person responsible, who can be anyone.
Language continues with the same sarcasm and fluidity that make us not feel the time pass while reading. Here the history of Mayara and its indigenous roots deepens a little, while her relationship with Raul takes on other contours (alcoviteiros like me: unite!).
The investigation is a race against time without the investigators knowing it, since one of them will be the new target of the killer.
I read it quick on the Literary app and I recommend it for sure! Is there more on this show? I'm in line to read!
